These were commissioned by the awesomest, Helen McWilliams! Her bun, Cody and his stuffed animal "Girlfriend." Both a blast to paint! Next time, a sculpted gold-leafed frame is in order!

Portraits from CCAE
Not too long ago, I took an evening continuing ed class with Sholeh Regna. She was nothing short of fabulous. I only wish I had more time on each portrait- about an hour and a half each. I did learn to work very fast! These are in order of completion:
The Tibetan model was probably my favorite. He indeed had quite the melon, but I let it get out of control; that sculpture was huge!

This little boy was 8 or 9. I really enjoyed sculpting his many dough-y chins !! His profile is soo sweet:)

Father Octopus Posters
I finished FO's show poster this morning, and thought I'd share it, along with the first one I did for them. I was
wildly "inspired" by Michael Dacey for this newest one, and grabbed a sweet splatter brush from this guy who insists I don't give him credit.
Oh! And in case you haven't met Louis the Octopus and his potato friend, here are some pictures :)

Back from the dead!
Now that painting and I have been finally reacquainted after a year or more, I think I'll post something..
..I'd been scared to paint for a while, so I figured I'd paint something silly to get back into it- and it made me happy! I like it. Go figure.
..And here's Grandpaw himself, in case you haven't met him...
